No matter how many times we have read the Cinderella story, no matter how many screen versions we have watched, its theatricalization inevitably leads to the creation of a new memory for the viewer and a new perspective on the lesson that can serve in reality.
Our new reading of "Cinderella" by Charles Perrault tells a magical story about how much beauty a good heart, purity of soul, and forgiveness can create. How these ancient human virtues can overcome the heartlessness and evil born of power and money.
And perhaps we will see the fairy-tale characters in a new light: Cinderella, the noble Prince, the Wicked Stepmother and her two quarrelsome daughters, the King and his ministers, and the good fairy.
The magic of the fairy tale and the magic of the good it seeks in people create its attractive power throughout the centuries until today, in its various interpreted variants. With the sole thought of making us better and more humane, so that we can live in a better world. According to fairy tales, this is possible. And according to people? – It is no coincidence that they love to tell fairy tales.
Good morning colleagues!
